SOLIDARITÉ
KESAKO ?
What is the Clap Solidarité?
We created the association Clap Solidarité (law 1901) because we want to become agents of change. Thus, upon arrival in Cambodia, we will engage with children in a partnership with KEP Children, to introduce them to soil life and offer them workshops of all kinds.
We will immerse ourselves amongst the local population and project films through a mobile cinema, from south Combodia to northern Thaïlande. Through this approach we will be able to discuss and learn about the future of agriculture in both countries, caught between tradition and the desire to grow rapidly in order to increase productivity.
Through this project, the Clap' is looking for solutions for a coherent food supply system, and a better quality of life in the future. We want to create relationships and intercultural partnerships, in the hope of encouraging responsible and durable initiatives, while bearing simple and universal values.
But it is also a documentary film !
With the mobile cinema as a tool, we want to get into the production of a documentary film on Human and his future. Here we focus on alternatives way of live. We'll try to answer the food issues we know today, with the necessity to supply long term, in the respect of life and the rythm of Nature.

Over the recent years we have seen the emergence of warning messages in arts, raising awareness among peoples of the world on damages caused by our civilizations, but also on solutions and alternatives to this system of destruction.
We are surrounded by communities, villages and cities where actions are materialized in favor of a progression in mentalities, methods of cultivating soil, as well as exchange and self-governance systems. Everywhere, little farms, local organic food markets, and many other concrete positive actions in every fields (food, health, housing, energy, eductation...) resurface. This movement, too often marginalized, with a poor mediatic cover, tries to evolve toward a simple and responsible ethic. We will explore the ancient farmer methods, permaculture and biodynamie, which understands the necessity of biodiversity and symbiosis among plants.
Our documentary aims to discover, or rediscover the wonderful awakeness of this precursors of the "new world", in order to report this alternatives made, and eventually make us feel the energy of a fast-growing "ecosophy" (responsible and eco-logic thought).
We will give a portrayal of our meetings, showing lived experiences and vision they have on the environement, fooding and the respect of life. We will detail the principle of permaculture and solutions to the problems of climate deregulation and water hygiene.
Our approach will have a cinematographic standard, highlighting individuals in their environment, and we will favor a human sight and exchange, attentive to the locals.
The movie wants to be registered in a poetic approach. All along our trip, we have discovered a certain joy of living often linked to a real quality of life. Women and men in quest of meaning, who is getting closer each day of this divine Nature, gestures respectful of the one who offers them health, methods that reconnect with ancestral knowledges and with physical aptitudes of man, and most of all a daily admiration for the environment which nourish their souls.
Today we want, by the way of wandering, to offer this point of view of observation and application of our senses, in order to renew with a poetic walk among the earth-community, by whom we learn more about ourselves each day.
" When the patience perfectly achieved its work, the appropriate muse comes to live in the man who speaks and who sings under the inspiration of some divinity "
John Dewey
A TRAVELLING THEATRE
Our aim is is to open our makeshift cinema, consisting of a canvavs and a video projecter, on a trip from Cambodia to Thaïlande.
The films we want to show will not have a political direction, nor will they be intended to generate envy of our European life. We love our planet and we wish to encourage those who have made the first steps or have made significant efforts already to continue this momentum, by showing them what to protect and emphasize the necessity to protect it. Films like Ocean, Microcosmos, Le Peuple Migrateur (Winged Migration?) from Jacques Perrin or Home, Des forêts et des hommes (the forests and men), and Planète Océan (Ocean Planet) from Yann Arthus-Bertrand, have a message that everyone can understand, regardless of language, religion, age or culture.
